海洋经济与海洋强国建设国际研讨会
 
一、会议背景与目的
党的十八大报告明确提出:提高海洋资源开发能力、维护国家海洋权益、建设海洋强国。发展海洋经济是建设海洋强国、实现海洋战略目标的关键。
发展海洋经济、建设海洋强国,这涉及科技、经济、文化、工程装备、环境保护、军事、外交等诸多领域,海洋战略的综合性和专业性都很强。发展海洋经济,建设海洋强国,需要提高国民的海洋意识,需要专家、学者对海洋资源开发、海洋权益维护中的许多问题进行研究和探讨,以便促进海洋经济的持续、快速、健康发展,实现中国由海洋大国向海洋强国的历史性跨越。
基于国家海洋战略背景,浙江大学决定举办“海洋经济与海洋强国建设国际研讨会”。
会议由浙江大学社科学部主任史晋川教授担任主席,邀请欧洲、美国、韩国等世界海洋大国的海洋经济领域的专家、学者,以及国内从事海洋经济及相关问题研究的学者参加会议,就“海洋经济与海洋强国建设”的前沿和热点问题,展开深入的交流与讨论。

International Conference on Marine Economy and Marine Power Construction
 
1. Background and Conference Objectives
The Report on the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) clearly supposed that China should enhance its capacity for developing marine resources, safeguarding China's maritime rights and interests, and building China into a marine power country. The development of Marine economy is the key measure for China to realize its goal of the maritime strategy.
 
Development of marine economy and building a maritime power, e.g. China's maritime strategy, which involves many fields of science and technology, economy, culture, engineering equipment, environmental protection, military and diplomatic matters, it is strongly comprehensive and professional. China needs to improve the national maritime awareness, experts and scholars are important human resources for China to exploring research and discussion on many issues in the process of developing marine resources andprotecting maritime rights and interests. Through these efforts, China could promote a sustained, rapid and healthy development of the marine economy, and attain the historic leap from a maritime country to a maritime power country.
 
Based on the background of China national marine strategy, Zhejiang University has decided to host an international conference on Marine Economy and Maritime Power Construction
 
The Conference will be academically chaired by Professor Shi Jinchuan, the Chinese economist and Head of the Faculty of Social Science, Zhejiang University. Experts and scholars in the field of Marine economy from Europe, the United States, South Korea and other world maritime power countries. The conference will provide a platform for deep discussions around the forefronts and hot issues of the marine economy and marine power construction.
