Guanghua Law School is committed to create an atmosphere of academic research and pursuit high quality of research achievements. Nearly a hundred of academic salons are organized and cutting-edge lectures are delivered annually in the School. Academic activities such as Interdisciplinary Forum for Young Scholars and Qingyuan Book Club are also organized and carried out by research institutes, providing excellent internal and external scholars and students of diverse discipline backgrounds with communication platform of an interdisciplinary nature.
Constant academic achievements have been made by the faculty of Guanghua Law School. The School has undertaken "211 Project" key disciplines construction projects “The Theory, Regime and Experiment of the Rule of Law in Transitional Society”, "985 Project" construction project “Research on Intellectual Property”, and a number of the National Social Sciences Fund Planning Project, Ministry of Education of Humanities and Social Sciences Research Project, Provincial Research Projects and high-level overseas academic projects. A number of the faculty members received awards from Ministry of Education and Ministry of Justice, and Zhejiang Province Social Sciences Planning Outstanding Achievement Award. Every year a number of papers are published on leading legal journals like Chinese Social Sciences and Journal of Legal Studies as well as influential international academic journals ( SSCI ).
Guanghua Law School annually hosts or sponsors influential domestic and international conferences and academic exchange activities of various kinds, and organizes academic exchange activities. A number of the faculty members have undertaken research collaboration or academic exchange with leading universities and research institutes in Europe, North America, East Asia and Southeast Asia. At present, the School has established collaborative relationships with dozens of law schools in the United States, Germany, Japan, Korea, Holland, Belgium, Singapore and Taiwan. Such relationships provide the faculty members and students with an interdisciplinary and cross-border platform for teaching and research activities and an excellent academic environment.
