CONSTITUTIONAL LAW

Constitutional Law is one of the most important parts of Legal Science. It focuses on the fundamental rights of citizens and public power, exploring how to regulate the national power on its organization and function by law, and how to protect the basic rights of citizens. The fundamental principles of modern constitutions are the basis of this course, and the existing constitution of China is the core of our interests. Its main contents can be generalized into four parts as shown below: constitutional principles, fundamental institutions of the nation, fundamental rights and obligations of citizens and state organs.

  

ADMINISTRATIVE LAW

Administrative law is the sum of National administrative laws and regulations. It is a separate legal department just lower than the Constitution which regulates administrative relationship. Administrative Law is an important obligatory course to law students.

  

The teaching purposes of this course is to cultivate and improve the students’ Qualities in legal administration and operational levels in administrative litigation and provide a basic outline for students to grasp the principles of administrative law of our country through teaching students the systems of administrative subject , administrative act, as well as the administrative responsibility.

  

GENERAL THERORIES OF CRIMINAL LAW

As a core curriculum in the field of law,it researches into general theories, principles and system of crime, criminal responsibility and penalty. Theoretical system of this subject is comparatively complete and mature. This course mainly includes the following aspects: basic principles of application in criminal law, scope of validity in criminal law, constitutive elements of crime, criminal patterns, system and species of penalty, sentencing discretion, and execution of penalty. General Theories of Criminal Law is a subject on basic theories and basic elements in criminal law. For masteringSpecific Theories of Criminal Law, it is necessary to study this preparative course.

  

OBLIGATION LAW

  The content of this course is about the obligation rules of civil law. That includes the explanation of the basic concept of claim and functions of rules in the different situations relating to the claim. In this course, students will have a concrete understanding about the general rules of the obligation law on which the other courses of civil law (contract, torts and property) later are based.

  

LABOR LAW AND SOCIAL SECURITY LAW

The object of Labor and Social Security Law is the emergence and development of labor law and social security law, and the inner principles of specific systems. This curriculum is composed of the following two parts: Labor Law and Social Security Law. Labor Law is the main content of this curriculum. It deals with the following issues: basic theories, specific systems and procedures of labor disputes. In addition, Social Security Law deals with the basic principles and the main contents of social security.

  

CHINISE LEGAL HISTORY

By lectures and discussions, different conceptions of History will be distinguished and clarified in this course. From varied perspectives and ways of historical narrative, we will try to reconstruct the historic rationality of Chinese legal history. Varied theoretical accounts of Chinese legal history will be evaluated from the perspectives of under-inclusive and over-inclusive concepts of law. The basic structures and contents of legislative and judicial systems in the history will be investigated. The notion of Dead Past will be reevaluated and corrected by the so called Living Past view of history of Collinwood.

  

SPECIAL THEORIES OF CRIMINAL LAW

Based on current legal norms, Specific Theories of Criminal Law is main entity part of criminal law. This subject introduces and researches into crime types which include crime of endangering national security, crime of endangering public security, crime against socialist market economy order, crime against personal right and democratic rights of citizens, crime against property, crime of disrupting the order of social administration, crime of impairing national defence, crime of embezzlement and bribery, crime of malfeasance and crime of soldiers violating military duties. Conceptions, characters, determination and punishment of important accusations are also illustrated in this course.

  

INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC LAW

As a core curriculum in the field of law, International Economic Law takes international economic activities as object of study, and explores how to regulate various social relations occurring in international economic exchangesBased on the basic principles of Civil and Business Law, this course mainly includes the following six aspectsinternational trade law, international investment law, international monetary law, international taxation law, international economic organization law and international economic dispute settlement law

  

CONTRACT LAW

This course is a required course for the undergraduates of law. The contents of this course include the system of general provisions of Contract Law and the system of specific provisions of Contract Law. There are two goals for this course: 1. to understand the system of Contract Law 2. to train the application ability about Contract Law which will be most useful and practical for law student in their future career.

  

PRIVATE INTERNATIONAL LAW

THE course of Private International Law(PIL) deals with civil and commercial relations with foreign elements; and the objective of the course is to provide an understanding of the conflict of the laws ,the methods of choice of laws and as well as the jurisdiction and enforcement of foreign decisions. This course can be divided into three parts. The first part focuses on basic problems of PIL, including the definition of PIL, the sources of PIL, conflicts rule, application of the conflicts rule, the problems of the application of foreign law .The second part concentrates on the of law of application to various civil and commercial relations with foreign elements, for example ,contract, tort , property, marriage, divorce and personal and corporate status. The procedural rules for the settlement of international commercial disputes through litigation and arbitration will be dealt with the third part.

  

CIVIAL LAW ON DOMESTIC RELATION AND INHERITANCE

Civil Law on Domestic relation and Inheritance is a course which researches on the phenomena of domestic relation and Inheritance law. This course includes five parts: 1) introduction to domestic relation and Inheritance law; 2)the institution of marriage;3)the institution of divorce;4)the institution of domestic relation;5)the institution of Inheritance. In this course, we will analyze and discuss legal questions on marriage law, adoption law, Inheritance lawand so on.
