After having studied in Dongbei University of Finance and Economics for four years, I decided to continue studying in China as an LL.M. student at Zhejiang University. Actually law is a field I am interested in, so I want my future profession to be connected with it.
As far as my studies here, I am very pleased. There have been no moments in the university I wasn’t satisfied with. The teachers are kind, polite, intelligent and fair and are always available for help and advice. Students’ opinions are always taken seriously. All the students are friendly and communicative and they often come up with different ideas for discussion in and outside the classroom. My English is not very good and I have to work hard at it, but the students are always ready to help me.
The subjects that I study generate a lot of popular discussion. Sometimes we can even stay after class for further discussions. I was surprised to have an opportunity to be present during a Court proceeding. As far as I am concerned, it is forbidden for foreigners, but this opportunity helped us to understand the way the cases are handled in Chinese Courts. A lot of conferences are open to us, not only in Chinese, but also in English, so every day we learn lots of new things connected with Chinese Law, its policies, culture, history and everyday life. Studying here has given me the opportunity to understand Chinese Law, the way its Judicial system works and overall Chinese policy.
To sum up, I am sure that such a program will help me find my place in the modern world and to apply for a good job and possibly understand the state of affairs in China. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank Zhejiang University for providing me with this opportunity.
