Workshops & Colloquiums

In order to enhance the understanding of Guanghua Law School among outstanding college students nationwide, to facilitate communication among excellent students from universities across the country, and to build a platform for exchange among outstanding young students, the 2024 National Outstanding College Students Summer Camp ofGuanghua Law School was successfully held on June 29-30, 2024.

On the morning of June 29th, the opening ceremony of the Guanghua Law School’s 2024 National Outstanding College Students Summer Camp was held in Room 102 of Zeng Building at the Zhijiang Campus. Prof. Zhao Jun and Prof. Huo Haihong, Teacher Chen Si, and Teacher Yu Longttended the ceremony. Outstanding college students from universities across the country gathered at Zhijiang to communicate and study together.

Prof. Huo Haihong first extended a warm welcome to the students attending the summer camp on behalf of the college. Drawing from her own feelings and experiences, she introduced the college's educational characteristics, faculty strength, and development history.

Fang Lihao, a student from China University of Political Science and Law and a representative of the summer camp participants, delivered a speech. He shared his personal journey of how he became connected with the legal major and his passion and aspiration for the study of law. He expressed his hope that all the participants would showcase their best selves during the summer camp and further experience the charm of legal studies.

“Read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles.” To enhance the students’ interest in reading and further understanding of law, the college prepared for each student the books “A Hundred Selected Cases in Digital Law,”“A Hundred Selected Civil Law Cases,” and “A Hundred Selected Administrative Law Cases,” which were presented to the students by the leading guests.

Subsequently, Prof. ZhaoJun gave the students an academic lecture on the topic of “The Macro Picture and Development Path of Foreign-Related Rule of Law Construction.”

After the opening ceremony, the students toured the Zhijiang Campus and Zijingang Campus. During the campus walk, they strolled around Yue Lun Mountain and Lover’s Bridge, visited the University History Museum and Art Museum, appreciated the campus scenery of Zhejiang University, felt the century-old profound history of Zhejiang University, experienced the study and life in Qiushi Garden, and grasped the essence of the spirit of seeking truth and innovation.

The summer camp successfully came to a close. This summer camp deepened the understanding of Guanghua Law School among outstanding college students nationwide, further stimulated the students' interest in legal research, and enhanced friendships through this exchange. We look forward to meeting the campers again by the Qiantang River and at the foot of Yue Lun Mountain next September.
