On October 24th, 2019, Mr. Carlo Gamberale, WTO Appellate Body Secretariat Counselor, visited Guanghua Law School. Prof. Zhao Jun, Vice Dean of Law School and Ms. Hong Jiaying, Secretary of Foreign Affaris warmly welcomed them.
Prof. Zhao Jun briefly introduced fundamental aspects of Zhejiang University and Guanghua Law School situation, such as international reputation of the university, teaching level, learning platform, professional collaboration and foreign exchange, etc. Mr. Carlo expressed his gratitude, and together with Lizze Mefrano, WTO Dispute Settlement Registrar, they introduced themselves and shared their legal practices and experiences in WTO.
Prof. Zhao Jun and Mr. Carlo both agreed that developing rule of law is the pursuit of the international community. Later, Prof. Zhao Jun exchanged his ideas with Mr. Carlo on the opportunities for students to have an internship in WTO. And finally Mr. Carlo and Mrs. Lizze gave their opinions on the lectures’ contents that were going to be given in the evening of October 24th and October 25th.
