On the afternoon of October 23, 2025, Professor James Harrison from the School of Law, University of Edinburgh, visited the Guanghua Law School of Zhejiang University, accompanied by Associate Professor Wu Wei from the China Institute of Boundary and Ocean Studies at Wuhan University. Professor Shi Yubing, Vice Dean of Guanghua Law School, received the delegation in Room 208 of the Main Building on the Zhijiang Campus. Also present at the meeting were Ms. Pan Shuyue (Foreign Affairs Secretary), Zhejiang University Hundred Talents Program Research Fellow Dr.Wang Sen and Dr. Duan Wen.

Vice Dean Shi Yubing first gave Professor James Harrison an overview of the history, disciplinary development, talent cultivation, and international cooperation of Guanghua Law School at Zhejiang University. Professor Harrison expressed his high appreciation for the School’s achievements and academic development, and he provided a brief introduction to the degree programs, doctoral training, and academic exchanges and collaborations at the University of Edinburgh School of Law.

Both sides further expressed their intention to advance cooperation and discussed potential collaboration in areas such as joint degree programs, co-supervision of doctoral students, faculty and student exchanges, and co-hosting academic events.
Vice Dean Shi Yubing concluded the meeting by once again extending a warm welcome to Professor James Harrison and his delegation on behalf of Guanghua Law School. Professor Harrison expressed his sincere appreciation for the School’s hospitality and conveyed his anticipation of returning to Guanghua Law School in the future to further strengthen cooperation.
