On the afternoon of November 23rd, Zhejiang International Legal Service Partnership Conference was successfully held in Hangzhou. The conference invited leaders from the Ministry of Justice P.R.C, Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, ambassadors of relevant countries to China, heads of international organizations, legal experts and scholars, representatives of lawyers, and representatives of international students, to have in-depth exchanges on foreign-related legal service partnership.

Professor Hu Ming, Dean of the Guanghua Law School, Zhejiang University, Professor Zhao Jun, Executive Vice Dean of the Qiushi Honors College, Zhejiang University, Teacher Lin Zhe from the Centre for Education and Teaching of the Guanghua Law School, Zhejiang University, and representatives of international students from LLM & SJD Program at the Guanghua Law School, Zhejiang University attended the conference.


On the conference, the Zhejiang Merchants Foreign-Related Legal Service Center announced its official operation. Relevant departments reported on the situation of the center and released the achievements of foreign-related legal services. The center signed partnership agreements with 8 overseas institutions including the Hong Kong Bar Association and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, as well as 10 domestic institutions including the Guanghua Law School, Zhejiang University.


During the thematic presentation session, experts and scholars deeply analyzed the hot spot and cutting-edge issues of foreign-related law from multiple dimensions including government departments, the legal practice field, the business community and the academic community, and discussed the establishment of a close foreign-related legal service partnership mechanism, aiming to provide a solid legal guarantee to build Zhejiang into a high-level, open and advancing province. The international students of Guanghua Law School actively participated in various topic discussions.



The international students’ diverse cultural backgrounds and international perspectives will inject new vitality into the development of the rule of law in Zhejiang and they are becoming an important bridge connecting the legal service fields of China and foreign countries. The platform of Zhejiang Merchants Foreign-Related Legal Service Center not only helps foreign investors better understand the legal environment in China, but also provides valuable practical opportunities for international students of Guanghua Law School.
